TRAMsoft GmbH - GARMIN Forerunner GPS Chipset Software Upgrades (English)

The following lists of changes are based on information provided by GARMIN. Changes or improvments which we consider important or especially useful are shown highlighted.

To view the current chipset software version, complete the following steps:

Press the Mode key until you see the main menu screen.
Select "Settings" and press the Enter key.
Select "General" and press the Enter key.
Select "About Forerunner" and press the Enter key.
The system will display the chipset software version at the second row ("GPS:").
Press the Enter key to quit the screen.

Each upgrade replaces the complete chipset software in the GPS, which means you need to install only the version you wish to apply. There is no need to install any previous versions.

Changes made from version 2.70 to 2.90: (released 11/27/2006)

Improved ability to acquire a satellite fix while moving around warming up and stretching.
Improved satellite tracking reliability for multi-hour activities.

Changes made from version 2.60 to 2.70: (released 07/19/2006)

Fixed occasional problem where the GPS would report a software version of 0.0 and not track satellites.
More tunnel reacquisition improvements.
Add almanac for MSAS.
