Every GARMIN dashboard mounting kit fit on this removable base. It does not require any installation at all, just place the removable base on the dashboard. Because of its weight and its design, it will keep the GPS in place under "normal" conditions. The removable base is particularly handy if you need the switch between multiple vehicles or when using the GPS temporarly, for example in a rental car.
Instead of the removable base, you may consider buying an adhesive base for each vehicle.
