GARMIN MapSource Germany

Navigation software with detailed topographic map of Germany

The topographic map of Germany is available in three different versions: Germany North, Germany South and Germany Full. The image below shows the coverage of these three versions.

Coverage:

Germany North:

Covers the following Bundesländer: Nordhein-Westfalen, Niedersachsen, Schleswig Holstein, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northern part of Rheinland-Pfalz, northern part of Hessen, northern part of Thüringen and northern part of Sachsen. The southern boundary lies near Koblenz N 50° 24'.

Germany South:

Covers the following Bundesländer: Baden-Würtemberg, Bayern, Baden Württemberg, Saarland, Rheinland-Pfalz, southern part of Hessen, southern part of Thüringen, southern part of Sachsen. The northern boundary lies near Aachen N 50° 48'.

Germany Full:

As the name suggests, this version covers all of Germany.

Specifications and System Requirements:

This product provides all features described under MapSource to exchange data between a PC and a GARMIN GPS receiver.

Germany Topo:

• Basic features: Manage GPS data on a PC, exchange data between a PC and a GPS receiver.
• Map: Topographic map of Germany, shows elevation contours and natural features.
• Packaging: DVD plus uSD/SD memory card with pre-installed maps.

Transferring one or more maps to a GPS device which supports maps adds the following features to the GPS:

1. Significant increase of the level of details: The transferred maps overlay the built-in map on the areas they cover. Outside these areas, the built-in map is still available.
2. Extended search functions: Find cities all over Germany.
