The following lists of changes are based on information provided by GARMIN. Changes or improvements which we consider important or especially useful are shown highlighted.

To view the current firmware version, complete the following steps:

1. Press the Page key until you see the Menu screen.
2. Select "Setup" and press the OK key.
3. Select "System" and press the OK key.
4. The current firmware version will be displayed near the bottom of the screen.
5. Press the page key to quit the screen.

Each upgrade replaces the complete firmware in the GPS, which means you need to install only the version you wish to apply. There is no need to install any previous versions.

Changes made from version 2.60 to 2.70: (released 05/03/2007)

1. Updated software to support manufacturing.

Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.30: (released 07/30/2003)

1. Updated French Translations.
2. Improved WAAS/EGNOS satellite selection algorithm to select the satellite with the most beneficial corrections given the unit's current position. A unit will not use a WAAS/EGNOS satellite if the unit's current position is outside of a given WAAS/EGNOS satellite's service volume.

Changes made from version 2.10 to 2.20:

1. Added area and distance statistics for saved tracks. To view the statistics, select a saved track from the Track List Page, then select 'SHOW MAP' from the pop-up list. Area units are configurable. To configure, highlight the area units label, press OK, and select new units from the pop-up list.
2. Corrected problem that could potentially cause a saved track to include track segments not chosen or withhold track segments chosen during the track-saving process.

Firmware Upgrade V2.20 is not available for download.
