TRAMsoft GmbH - GARMIN VIRB Action Cameras Firmware Upgrades (English)

Firmware:

V4.00 - V3.90 - V3.80 - V3.70 - V3.20 - V3.10 - V2.80 - V2.50

The following lists of changes are based on information provided by GARMIN. Changes or improvements which we consider important or especially useful are shown highlighted.

To view the current firmware version, complete the following steps:

Turn on the camera.
Press the MODE button until the unit shows the menu option "SETUP".
Scroll to the menu option "SYSTEM" and press the OK button.
Scroll to the menu option "About" and press the OK button (Hint: press the "Up" botton twice).
The watch displays the UNIT ID and the current software version.
Press the "MODE" button to return to the previous option.

Each upgrade replaces the complete firmware, which means you need to install only the version you wish to apply. There is no need to install any intermediate versions.

Note: Your VIRB will update the next time it is powered on. Do not power off while green light is flashing.

Changes made from version 3.90 to 4.00:

Added support for acceleration greater than 4g.
Added support for mobile app improvements.
Fixed issue with losing GPX logs when taking a photo while recording video.
Fixed issue with missing accelerometer calibrations causing bad acceleration data to be recorded.
Fixed some translations.
Fixed several issues that could cause the camera to crash.

Added 15, 20, and 25 second photo timer options .
Improvements to better synchronize overlay data with video.
Fixed issue with basic units that showed the year as 2013.
Fixed issue with reverting to internal microphone after reboot.
