The following lists of changes are based on information provided by GARMIN. Changes or improvements which we consider important or especially useful are shown highlighted.

To view the current firmware version, complete the following steps:

  1. Turn on the GPS.
  2. Open the main menu by touching the arrow symbol.
  3. Touch "Setup".
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and touch "About".
  5. The software version will be shown on the first line.

Each upgrade replaces the complete firmware in the GPS, which means you need to install only the version you wish to apply. There is no need to install any previous versions.


Changes made from version 6.50 to 6.80:

  1. Added ETRS89 datum.
  2. Fixed possible issue with viewing a route on the map.
  3. Fixed possible incorrect geocache terrain score on map.
  4. Fixed date field in certain languages.

Changes made from version 6.40 to 6.50:

  1. Improved 'Save Portion' track feature. When saving a portion, the device now remembers that position in the track log so it can be used as a track segment for future portion saving.
