Compact GPS receivers with very fast auto-routing, voice guidance, color display with touchscreen, integrated world and Europe/Africa map, pre-loaded detailed maps Alps region, Europe or Europe and North America plus USB interface and image viewer. Well suited for all kinds of vehicles but also suitable as hand held devices.
The models of the GARMIN Nüvi 200 series (Nüvi 200, 250, 250 Wide and 270) provide very fast automatic route calculation, visual and voice guidance, are easy to use, have a large, easy to read color display with touch screen, an extremely sensitive antenna, an integrated world map (overview) plus a base map of Europe, Africa and the near East.
The model Nüvi 200 has 491 MB built-in memory to store detailed maps with
even more information, such as local roads, hotels, restaurants, public buildings and points of interest. This model comes with pre-loaded maps of all of Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria, Southern Germany, Eastern France and Northern Italy (referred to as "Alps region") which occupy approximately 232 MB of memory.
The models Nüvi 250 and Nüvi 250 Wide have 1.45 GB built-in memory with pre-loaded detailed maps of all of Europe which occupy approximately
1.28 GB of memory.
The model Nüvi 270 has 2.92 GB built-in memory with pre-installed detailed maps of all of Europe and all of North America (Canada and USA) which occupy approximately 2.28 GB of memory.
The unused memory is available to store additional detailed maps, waypoint files and pictures. In addition, all models have a slot for an optional SD memory module to store additional data. The Nüvis provide navigation information outdoors, in a car, in a train or even
in an airplane (see MapSource examples).
